Police Officer Shoots, Kills Pit Bull in SE HoustonHouston, TX - Neighbors say the dog started chasing a motorcyclist and then went after several kids on Wilmerdean near Monroe this afternoon. Parents heard the kids screaming for help and called police.
The pit bull somehow got into a backyard and started attacking another dog. "He was trying to get the pit bull off his dog. And he was trying to hit it to get it off. And when he got it off he threw his dog in my yard and jumped over," said neighbor Eddie Reta. "The pit bull still kept barking and snapping at us through the fence."
Police shot and killed the dog when it charged an officer. No one was hurt. The wounded dog was taken to the vet.
