DogsBite logo   Over 150 dog breeds populate the US. Studies show that two breeds account for nearly 70% of bites that end in death and serious injury. We must regulate these breeds or risk the safety of our families and pets.

Dog attacks officer after methamphetamine sale

Drug Dealers Set Pit Bull on Police Officers
Central Minnesota police shot and killed a pit bull that was released on them by drug dealers during an arrest. The arrests came after undercover officers bought $4,000 worth of methamphetamine.

After investigators bought the 2 ounces of meth, they went in to arrest Steven James Revoir, 39; Robert Edgar Kell, 34; and Richard Roiz, 30. While officers tried to get the men out of a car, the men released a pit bull dog and it began to attack an officer. The officer fired three shots from a handgun and killed the dog.

The men then threw a Bible at police. Pages were cut out of the Bible so someone could hide objects in it. The Sheriff reports,
“If they would have used the Bible for its intended purpose, they might not be in so much trouble."
Revoir then got out of the vehicle and started fighting with police. He was shocked with a Taser and arrested.
