Postmortem Pit Bull advocacy...

There are actual service dogs trained to detect seizures before they occur. Obviously these Pit Bulls aren't cut out for that kind of work.

hmm.... did the seizure cause the attack or did the attack cause the seizure?

My best guess is that the siezure triggered the dogs high "prey drive", and they reacted by attacking.

What is so sad is, many of the dogs that become "seizure alert" dogs do so without training; there are many, many stories of dogs instinctively alerting owners to an impending seizure, and laying protectively near them until the siezure subsides. Dogs bred to work closely and cooperatively with humans, like sporting dogs, are often naturals at this.

Pit bulls were bred for blood sport, not to be companions and protectors of humans.

Looks like the dogs pulled her down and killed her in normal Pit Bull manner.

"Kelli Chapman had injuries to her forearms, indicating possible defensive wounds, McCullough said".

"It is possible, and there was other damage to furniture and stuff in the bedroom, where the attack occurred, so it is possible that she was defending herself," he said.
