Man Charged After His Pit Bull Attacks WomanUnion, SC - A Union County man is facing charges for what police say his dog did last month. Chad Jeter (photo, left) turned himself in to police Tuesday. He is charged with having a dangerous animal.
A Union police officer said that
Joan Garner, 61, got out of her car in the driveway of her home on Mountain Street when the white and brown pit bull attacked her. The dog bit Garner multiple times on her arm and wrist. The dog also left scratches on Garner's back and tore her shirt during the attack.
The officer spotted the dog in a neighbor's yard. Officers captured the dog and was taken to the county shelter. The dog was put down.
