Jackson County, MI - Tina Meyers is resting a bit easier. Animal control officers say they caught the two dogs that attacked her daughter at a sledding hill. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation, and tracked down both dogs -- a pit bull and Bull Mastiff.

County Undersheriff Tom Finco says the owner of the dogs could face charges of obstruction and hindering the investigation for not cooperating with authorities. He went on to add that four dogs have been shot by authorities this year due to attacks.

"The majority of them have been pit bulls," said Finco. "If I was the parent of the child that was injured I'd have some hard feelings."

Tina says the worst is over even with the dogs quarantined. She says her daughter had to go through the trauma of being attacked, and then sitting in the ER for five and half hours, and then becoming a pin cushion -- she endured eight shots. Tina's hoping she'll get some remorse from the dogs' owners but isn't holding her breath.

"They took off there. They weren't concerned then (after the attack), so I can't imagine they'd be concerned any now," said Meyers.
