Cell Phone Video Captures Pit Bull Attacking Boy
Ohio Mom Pleads GuiltyColumbus, Ohio - Amanda West pleaded guilty to several misdemeanors in relation to her pit bull. West will have to pay a $100 fine for several misdemeanors, including failure to have vicious dog insurance, failure to confine a vicious dog and failure to have rabies or dog tags. West's pit bull attacked her own 11-year-old son while he was walking the dog, damaging the boy's neck and legs.
The attack was caught on cell phone video by a neighborhood resident.
The
video depicts the boy screaming, "Help" and wrestling with the pit bull on the ground as the dog tears his clothes off. Had two neighborhood boys not shown up when they did and helped, West's son might have been injured worse. West is not allowed to own a dog for three years of probation. If she violates probation, she will face a 1-year jail sentence.
