Livingston County Judge Denies Bid to Ban Evidence
Harper and Gierlach Trial Moves ForwardLivingston, MI - Circuit Court Judge Stanley Latreille ruled that prosecution can show victim fatality images to the jury when the trial begins. Assistant Prosecutor Daniel Rose told the judge bluntly:
"I have no living eyewitness to show these four dogs were involved in the killings. To show that type of evidence you have to show how badly they were mangled."
The attorney for Livingston County woman, Diane Cockrell, accused of possessing dangerous American bulldogs that mauled two people to death unsuccessfully argued Friday to get the charges dropped and exclude certain evidence if the case goes to trial.
