Pit Bull Stuck in Truck: Major Engine Trouble!
Pit Bull Chews Through Wires and MoreVacaville, CA - In an image that brings shock and bizarre juxtaposition, a pit bull was found stuck in a truck. The dog climbed up inside the engine, got trapped and tried to chew its way out. When the truck owner, Walter Witthoeft, went to put steering fluid in his truck, he popped the hood and came face-to-face with a growling pit bull.
"There was a pair of eyes staring at me and this growl. It blew me away. I didn't know what to do," he said.
Witthoeft said he paid $1,000 to fix his truck last week, but the truck had to be towed back to the shop for damage caused by the pit bull. It will cost Witthoeft another $1,000 in repairs, and the loss of use of this work truck. The dog was eventually was able to nash, tear and wiggle its way out. Animal control has the dog and hopes that its owner will come forward.
