Roll Call: Texans Killed by Pit Bulls in 2006

DogsBite.org - In 2006, the State of Texas lead the nation in fatal dog attacks (6). Of these fatalities, 67% (4) were attributed to pit bulls and 33% (2) to rottweilers. The statewide Texas anti-BSL measure, which forbids municipalities from enacting breed-specific laws, helps enable these tragic deaths and continues to allow owners and breeders of these dogs to go unregulated. Including the boy killed last week, thats 11 Texans killed in just under two years!!!

The pit bull community would rather advocate, instead of finding and stopping the breeding of the mankillers.

I can't understand how Texas keeps failing to see the elephant in the room. There's yet another pit bull incident of some degree, in every Texas community, everyday.

Prediction: The future expression will be, "there's a pit bull in the room," and future generations will be puzzled by a historical era when people actually kept pit bulls as pets.
