Son Dumps Pit Bull on Mother, Dog Attacks Mother
Pit Bull Owner Should be ProsecutedWilsonville, IL - In another, "Mom will you please watch my pit bull?" incident, a woman is left savaged by her son's dog. The woman was attacked at her residence.
Macoupin County deputy sheriff Bart Hassard said when they arrived on scene, the Gillespie Ambulance Service was loading up the 49-year-old victim. The deputy was told the pit bull was secured in the residence.
Family members: Do not allow your children or relatives to dump their pit bull on you. The results may prove deadly.
The unlucky victim was taken to Staunton Community Memorial Hospital where she was treated for multiple, severe bites to both arms.
The unidentified victim told authorities she had been dog-sitting her son's male, 1- to 2-year-old pit bull and had been feeding the animal and her own dog when the pit bull became aggressive and the dogs began fighting.
This is the exact age when pit bulls genetically hit "blitz mode," which her son conveniently forgot to tell her.
When she attempted to pull the pit bull off her dog, the pit bull attacked her, biting her numerous times on both arms. The victim was able to get away from the pit bull and ran outside, closing the door behind her, securing the animal in the house.
The Macoupin County Animal Control officer went to the residence and removed the pit bull from the home.
The son also forgot to give his mother a break stick, a device used to pry open the dog's jaws when engaged in a fight.
