10-Year Old's Arm Amputated After Family Pit Bull Attack

07/26/08: Lifetime of Injury UnfoldsPaw Paw, MI - In a developing story, a 10-year old boy is recovering in the hospital after being attacked by the family pit bull. The boy's injuries required the amputation of his right arm. The attack happened while the boy was home alone. An older brother returned home to find the boy still being attacked and took the boy to the hospital.
Both parents were reportedly in Indiana at the time. The two-year old pit bull named Torco was euthanized at the Van Buren County Animal Shelter. The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office is still investigating and said they will turn the case over to the county prosecutor's office for review.
