Another Columbus Mail Carrier Attacked by Pit Bull
Dog "Pushed Open" DoorColumbus, OH - Another mail carrier was attacked in Columbus, this time on the west side. The pit bull "pushed open" the door to bite Randal Lavelle, 44. Last month, a pit bull "pushed open" a storm window to bite a different mail carrier. Lavelle was hospitalized after the attack. The dog's owner said it was the
first time the dog has attacked.
Ronald Hashman was charged with failing to control the dog and failing to have it licensed and vaccinated. He was likely also charged for failing to insure the dog. In the state of Ohio, all pit bull owners are required to carry $100,000 in liability coverage. Unless Hashman has a wad of cash stashed someplace, he won't be getting his dog Honey back. He won’t be able to afford to.
Oh, but there are always her puppies to sell...
