Morning Walker Gets Pit Bull Sicced on Him
Celebrating AmericaEvansville, IN - A man was injured over the weekend when two people sicced their pit bull on him, according to a police report. James E. Croft, 47, reportedly suffered puncture wounds to his left leg and abrasions to both arms and the left side of his face. Croft said he was walking near Franklin and Garvin streets when he passed two men with a pit bull on a leash.
According to the report, the two men then yelled "sic him" and allowed the dog to begin attacking Croft. He told police one of the men said, "That's what you get for walking this neighborhood." Croft told police the dog let go of him when he kicked it and hit it with a
brick. The two suspects then took off with the dog. Croft was taken to Deaconess Hospital for treatment.
