Omaha City Officials Near Decision on Pit Bulls

Pit Bulls Will Be Regulated
Omaha, NE - After the June 25th pit bull attack that ripped little Charlotte's scalp off -- in addition to a string of other violent attacks -- the Omaha mayor and city council members continue to gather data regarding a new dangerous dog ordinance. In addition to an "outright" pit bull ban, city officials are also considering the following breed-specific options.
  • Anti-tethering
  • Mandatory spay / neuter
  • Muzzling off property
  • Prohibit felony ownership

I hope Omaha goes through with all the restrictions. They have everything to gain and nothing to lose except injury and death to humans and pets.

Wonder when the Pit Bull community will finally get the message that they need to be breeding safer dogs?
