Here is a news clip of a pit bull attack on a police officer.....the officer made a routine traffic stop, because the driver was weaving. Sherolls down the window....watch what happens...

http://www.nbc4i.com/midwest/cmh/news/video_center.html

The officer calls for a medic, then arrests her for assaulting a police officer. I think that anytime a pit bull attacks a police officer, the owner should be charged with assault on an officer. It is unconscionable that we continue to place our first responders in harms way in order to placate a criminal subset of dog breeders.

It sounds like these dogs may have had prong collars on....they belong to someone. Unless local law enforcement is completely incompetant, they should be able to find these dogs, and the owners. The owners will never come forward voluntarily.

The pictures accompanying the article are hideous; the poor old dog, and his owners hand, show gruesome injuries. This nice lady, and obvious dog lover, will never feel the same way about dogs again; her first reaction when she saw the two off leash pit bulls? She was merely concerned they could be hit by a car.

Dog lovers need to step up to the plate and start demanding BSL....there is NO excuse for this to continue.

I do not agree with this at all but it leaves me saying to myself hmmmm.....

Pit bull found lynched in a trailer park. Authorities say there had been complaints about the dog running loose.

The thing is the dog lynchers are looking at up to 20 years for animal cruelty...A pit owner who intentionally obtains a dog designed for killing other dogs gets away with an "oops"!
