Summary: Charles and Karen Barr were driving home from a family's house when they saw the 15-year old girl under attack. Charles said the girl's legs were mangled. He shot and killed the dog. The owners of the dog stayed in the house while the dog shredded the girl in the front yard. The owners were fined $150.

Summary: Described as a "Chinese pit bull," the dog pinned a woman against a car and bit into her torso. One officer fired a shot into the dog’s chest. The dog wandered to a nearby porch and died. (It is unclear what a Chinese pit bull is, perhaps a shar pei, which has a history of dogfighting or a bullmastiff cross.)
