What a sad and horrific way for an american hero to die.

Rest in peace Henry.

A veteran, one of the few remaining heroes of the greatest generation, who earned every day of his golden years - snuffed out by the ugliest, most disgraced breed on the planet.

May Henry rest in peace, may his family prevail in court, and may pit bulls be removed from the face of the earth.

Every time I see an idiot walking one of these dogs I think, what a low life asshole.
Just today I learned there is a school bus stop on the corner from a pit bull that has already chased a mailman. The mailman mazed the dog several times and the dog chased him up into the yard across the street before it gave up. This all was witnessed by a State Policeman's wife. It's a rental property and the house is owned by one of the captains on the fire deptment. It seems like this couldn't be true, surely people like this would not allow this to continue. This is the way it is all accross the country.
The girl our Animal Shelter said " Pit bulls are wonderful dogs".

October 22, 2009 -- NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City man whose two pit bulls fatally mauled an elderly World War II veteran has pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge.

James McNair, who's 29, entered the plea on Thursday in Staten Island state Supreme Court. District Attorney Daniel Donovan says McNair will be sentenced on Nov. 6 to three years in prison and five years supervised parole.
