Pit Bulls in D.C. Injure Three Children in One Week
Search On for Dog's OwnerUPDATE 08/27/08: The dog that bit two children and an adult at the Boys and Girls Club has been named a Cane Corso-mix.

There is confusion in the Boys and Girls Club attack about the ownership of the dog. Authorities said they are still sorting out the case. Residents who would not talk on camera told FOX 5 that the two children had provoked the dog by throwing bottles and bricks at it. Other residents said the recreation director took the roaming dog into the center and started feeding it.
08/26/08: Pit Bull Pops Into Boys and Girls ClubWashington DC - Two children playing at a Northeast Boys and Girls Club were attacked by a pit bull that was brought into the building. The attack falls 6 days after a D.C. police officer shot and killed a pit bull that was
mauling a 6-year old girl in Southeast D.C. The district commander said he is recommending the officers be awarded medals for saving the girl's
life.
The incident at the Boys and Girls Club occurred after someone brought a pit bull into the building. The dog subsequently attacked a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy playing basketball in the gym. The pit bull bit the back of the girl's head and attacked the boy's legs. A woman at the gym was also bitten when she tried to pull the dog off the children.
