Family Dog Attacks Toddler in Angelina County

Angelina County, TX - In a developing story, a dog described as a "family dog" attacked a 20-month-old child in Angelina County. The girl was taken to the hospital after a call to authorities came in, said county Animal Control Officer Melanie Wade. Authorities do not know why the dog attacked. Wade said, "It might have been another dog in the yard." Details on the girl's condition and more information on the dog were not available.

The dog has been euthanized by the family.
