Dogs Kill Woman's Cat TooIrondequoit, NY - An unlucky woman, who had been trying to prevent an attack, ended up getting attacked herself and losing her cat to the jaws of two loose pit bulls. According to Irondequoit police Lt. Blake Hunt, the woman owns the property adjacent to her. She noticed her tenants’ two pit bulls loose in the yard and went over to let them back into the house.
As she tried to get the dogs back into her tenants’ home, her cat escaped from her own home and crossed into her tenants’ yard, Hunt said. The pit bulls went after the cat, and the woman intervened, suffering wounds to her arms and upper legs. The cat was also killed in the attack. The woman, whose identity was not released, was taken to Rochester General Hospital.
This one should be a real mess to sort out legally.
