I can't imagine the horror this family must be experiencing...

I think the City Council members should each visit the intensive care unit of this hospital to personally view how terrible these injuries are by the pit bull. It would shock some reality into these people.

The media has failed to name the Pit owner. Wonder if it is another "advocate"?

Update: The 34-year-old pit bull owner reportedly did not have any paperwork indicating vaccinations for the animal and the dog is not licensed with the city.

Possible charges were not determined, but police continue the investigation.

"It's not the first time pit bulls have attacked and it won't be the last," she said.

A car wash fund-raiser for the boy's medical bills is being held at the Sun Mart fuel station until 5 p.m. today.

According to the article, this one was bad...The boy's nose and both ears had to be reattached as well as a partial scalping.

Of course, the ethereal owner probably doesn't maintain insurance coverage. Jail time please!

The City Council needs to see this child's pictures. This is very important. This little boy will be hospitalized for a month. Nobody can take this back and restore him perfectly. He should be playing perhaps going to school with his friends. He wasn't even safe in his grandmother's own yard. This is a mockery of public safety.
