Officers Search For Pit Bulls After Deadly Animal Attack
4 Goats and 3 Alpacas KilledCharlotte, NC - Animal Control officers spent Saturday patrolling and searching for two loose pits bulls. Witnesses said two pit bulls got into an animal pen on Friday and killed four goats and three alpacas. The dogs then ran off into the woods. The video shows the damage to the fence and animal pen the dogs caused. Animal owner, Marina Voeltz, said she and her husband were shocked at the damage the two dogs caused.
"It just worries me that two dogs that could do damage like this might jump out, not at people, but to get the animals they might be carrying or walking."
Three animal control trucks were sent out to try to locate the loose pit bulls. Police said one of the dogs is black and about 50 pounds. The other is described as reddish and about 30 pounds. Both animals have long tails. If you see the dogs roaming your Charlotte neighborhood (particularly the Twin Oaks area), please call 311 and ask for animal control.
