But... But... Pit bulls aren't human aggressive! Not even the dogs fought in the pit are human aggressive because man biters were culled. It isn't in them to bite a human. This can't be true!!!
I can't imagine what it's like to be a pit bull advocate - to make this statement over and over again only to be proven wrong over and over again.

In the pitiot's eyes, they are never proven wrong. They always have a ready excuse for the dog. I suppose we can now add to the list of pit bull bite triggers a malfunction in a pulley door. These dogs are awfully "sensitive" for having such a tough image. They practically require hermetic sealing just so they won't go off.

Oh, no, this had to be a bait dog and it was just "scared" because of all it has been thru.
And the officer can still do her job without that finger, can't she? I mean what is a finger in comparison to what this dog could have really done if it weren't so sweeeeet.

This is more likely the truth:
Nobody saw the attack. Her own dog, a cocker spaniel, bit her the day before and she wrapped up her finger and then faked it at work so she could sit on her ass and live off of the government dole for awhile.

We pretty much have all their "excuses" covered, folks. Any more that anyone can think of? Maybe we need to give them a new "excuse". Who goes first? I particularly like the one from Craven. Can anyone say Workers Comp?
